Situated within a timeless landscape, the residence is designed with a minimal footprint, stepping naturally along the hill side to reduce excavation and visual bulk. Each level follows the contours of the terrain, allowing the house emerge organically from the mountain. Constructed using local stone, the masonry harmonizes with the surrounding cliff, reinforcing a sense of continuity with the site.
As one ascends the multi level structure, each progression culminates in expansive openings that frame unobstructed views of the horizon, creating a seamless connection with the landscape. The large openings frame the horizon also oriented for maximizing natural light and ventilation. Light and shadow animate the textured stone surfaces, enhancing the interplay of form and material while maintaining visual simplicity and elegance. Designing had a thoughtful approach that balances functionality, sustainability and aesthetic while respecting the natural terrain.
