Parks & Recreational Landscapes
Located within the neighbourhoods of the Gujarat Urban Development Authority (GUDA) vicinity, this series of public gardens is envisioned as an inclusive landscape network designed for everyday community life.
Rather than functioning simply as green pockets within the neighbourhood, the gardens are conceived as active public spaces for people of all ages—places to walk, play, exercise, meet, pause, reflect and connect with nature. The design intent is to create environments that remain relevant throughout the day, accommodating different users and activities from morning exercise and yoga to children's play, social interaction and evening recreation.
A meandering plaza forms the spatial spine of the garden. More than a seating area, it becomes a continuous pedestrian experience, allowing visitors to move naturally from one part of the garden to another while discovering different activity zones along the way.
The landscape incorporates a diverse range of public amenities, including children's play areas, indoor gym facilities, a dedicated pet park, yoga and meditation pavilion, and a nature corner. Each element is carefully integrated into the landscape to create a balance between activity and tranquillity
The spatial character of the garden is shaped by the interplay of solidity and fluidity. Defined edges, built elements and structured activity zones provide a sense of permanence and enclosure, while meandering paths, planting and open green spaces introduce movement, softness and visual continuity.
